Ascension Saint Thomas has signed a letter of intent with Nashville-based Results Physiotherapy to integrate their outpatient rehabilitation operations and physicians to create a 55-location network of clinics.
The partnership will combine the organizations’ clinical capabilities to provide physical, speech and occupational therapy throughout Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. According to a press release, Ascension will work with Results to establish better continuity of care for patients, build and support rehabilitation therapy teams, and advance clinical programs, services and care centers.
The transaction is scheduled to close this winter.
“Results Physiotherapy and Ascension Saint Thomas share a vision of transforming healthcare by improving health outcomes and the patient experience while reducing the overall cost of care. Together, we are committed to world class, personalized service,” Mike Martin, CEO of Results Physiotherapy, said in the release. “By working together to enhance coordinated outpatient rehabilitation therapies, residents of Middle Tennessee and surrounding communities will benefit from our shared expertise.”
In April, Results permanently laid off 51 employees across its 150-clinic network.
