Low carb diet is the one where you limit the intake of carbohydrates and consume only low carb foods. In this diet, you can only consume 10-30 per cent of your total calorie intake of the day. For example, if your daily consumption is 2000 calories, then you can only consume 20-150 grams of carbs per day. This diet restricts the consumption of all baked foods, sweets, candies, whole grains, sweetened beverages and even high carb fruits as well. There is also a limit on the healthy carb sources you eat such as – legumes, starchy vegetables, and pasta. It also involves consuming a good amount of protein which you can take from fish, eggs, nuts, meat and non-starchy vegetables.
